The New Jenny Mac

Jenny has had a makeover....new blog. New reclaiming of name/identity. New look! New haircut even! So....


ALLOW ME TO Re-INTRODUCE MYSELF: 

I'm Jenny, currently 32 years old and mother to a wonderful little human being. I grew up in California, but was Naturalised as a British Citizen just this year, although ive been living here since 2011. I've spent the last decade in an abusive relationship and im proud to say that a finalised divorce is on the horizon. 


Most of 'old Jenny's' hobbies are the same (Disney, dancing, films, cats, cuddles, fantasy, ren faire, sci-fi, Halloween, dressing up, Pirates, crafting, Nanowrimo, recreational writing, etc).... 

I've been building on my interests and rediscovering the things I love, but i have surpressed and kept away from for so long. 


I am a practicing Witch. 

I believe in nature as the divine. 

I believe in my own intuition to guide me.

I love the smell of Sage.

I like burning candles and incense. 

I believe crystals are not just pretty rocks. 

I love to discover the MEANING behind things. 



I'm a pluviophile.

I love the smell of petrichor.

I love standing in the rain.

I like the connection to the earth and my astrological sign.

I love the sound of thunderstorms.

I like keeping doors/windows open on rainy days.

I can easily fall asleep listening to rain. 



I am a proud polyamorous pansexual. 

(And no thats not just for alliteration sake)

I'm in the kink community.

I'm interested in people, not their pronouns. 

I believe sexual preferences should be respected. 

I love to explore new dynamics. 

I like that every relationship is unique and holds a special connection in someones life, whether its platonic or romantic.  

I love being myself.

I realize that I don't blog as much as I used to, and infact it might just become a yearly thing as time goes on, but hey, that is life as a single mom. So, I will give you the highlights:  A VISIT FROM NANA The start of the year, mom came to visit us. She has a standard reservation in our spare bedroom which is always referred to as "Nana's room" by the boy, even when she isn't here.  For the length of time mom comes for visits (2-3 month) there wasn't many adventures this time around. Most of the time I was working while Henry spent time with his dad and the weekends are mostly reserved for Henry playing with his neighbourhood friends (I always feel bad taking him to do things when he could be happy playing with friends). However, mama and i managed a quick trip to Iceland to see the northern lights. Garden Makeover

When we bought this house, the decking was so pretty and it sold me on the place aesthetically. It did help that the estate agent photos of the back garden were very lovely, and the decking furniture was in view so it made a pretty picture of what life would be like with this beautiful back garden.  Photo from the estate agents before buying the house. Photo from the estate agents In practicality, the decking wasnt a great choice. There was maintenance of staining the decking regularily to ensure it stayed prestine, which with everything going on was a task in and of itself, but then when we put all of OUR stuff on the decking (homemade pallet furniture that was too heavy to move regularily) it became more of a chore.  The second thing was that this was a house where a baby turned toddler grew up, so mess was made, decking was powerwashed down to clear the mess and over time the decking began to rot in places. New Blog- Who dis?

Welcome all,  Here's a brief explaination of why there is a new blog for Life of Jenny Mac:  Even though divorce is still an ongoing process, I have decided to reclaim my identity and migrate my online presence back to my maiden name, McClellan. Part of doing so has meant that my email, google account and everything attached to it (including my old blog), have gone dorment because there is no way to merge google accounts (that I know of).  So new google email address -->  new google acount -->  new blog.  I will still be keeping the old google account in case I need to migrate something I've forgotten over. My old blog in all it's untouched glory can still be found here , but I will be carrying on with future blogs from this new version2. It's been 281 days since Rob moved out of the house and I'm still finding my way back to myself. I'm rediscovering who I am, coming to terms with what I've gone through and hopefully moving forward to provide a happi...
